December: The MoD has awarded CAS a contract to develop a number of real-time predictive simulation models for use by anti-aircraft systems operators at RAF Spadeadam. This new software will predict, in real-time, the aircraft aspect to the weapon system and will determine the best time to launch a simulated missile against the target. It will also model the fly-out characteristics of the missile and update it's track depending upon guidance from the threat and aircraft manoeuvring. The inclusion of this software will improve the realism of the engagement and will enhance the feedback to the aircrew.
