October: CAS have been tasked, by the USAF, to implement a number of upgrades to the EPICCCS system at Polygone in Germany. These include extending the range coverage to allow exercises to be monitored throughout the whole of Germany, the instrumentation of TRTG mobile threats and the installation of TRTG video recording equipment, the development of a secondary Operation suite to assist with exercises in the far South of the range area, the instrumentation and integration of RWR-Lite emitters and the integration of a T3 threat system currently in France. These modifications will greatly increase the exercise area available to NATO pilots in central Europe as well as increasing the number of threats, and threat types, that aircrew can exercise against.

September: Congratulations to Dave Wells, Simon Laxton and Peter Hunt who all passed their PRINCE 2 Practitioners examination.

September: CAS have been tasked, by the MoD, to implement a number of upgrades to the SPICCCS system at RAF Spadeadam. These include the development of a missile fly-out model to improve the realism of EW training and the inclusion of low level mapping data to assist helicopter pilots who are using the Spadeadam range.

September: CAS Managing Director, Dave Wells, visited Poland, as part of a multi-nation team, to assess the suitability of Polish Air Force equipment, and personnel, to operate at the Polygone EW Range in Germany.

September: CAS employee, Stuart Marshall, underwent a week long crash course in French and declared that the course was "Very Bon".

August: CAS are delighted to welcome Colin Munro to the company. Colin is a recent graduate from Heriot-Watt University and is a valuable addition to the team.

August: In a busy month CAS received contracts from the Wood Group, for the development of label printing software to assist with the assembly of turbines, from the University of Paisley for the support of their Course Administration System and from the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) for the Project Management of their new complaints handling system and their office relocation.

August: CAS Managing Director, Dave Wells, underwent a week long crash course in German and can now confidently inform, anybody who wishes to know, if the book is "on the table" or "under the table" as well as ordering many beers.

July: The United States Air Force in Europe (USAFE) have awarded CAS a contract for the integration of Mini-MUTES and TRTG threats into their Polygone range in Germany. This comes on top of the, recently received, two year support contract for the range. These latest contracts secure CAS work, at Polygone, until, at least, October 2005.

July: CAS were delighted to receive contract from the, newly formed, Interactive University for the support of their assessment systems.

July: CAS received a contract from the Computer Users Information Service (CUIS) for a further years support of their CRM system.

July: Congratulations to CAS Managing Director, Dave Wells, on successfully passing his Institute of Directors (IoD) examinations in Company Direction.

June: CAS have received a contract from the Scottish Executive for the support of their Children's Hearing Automated Rota Management System (CHARM) which is currently in use by Children's Panels throughout Scotland.

June: Robert Gordon's (Aberdeen) have awarded CAS a support contract to provide help desk and enhancement to their Nurse training administration system.

June: The Scottish Borders Council have awarded a support contract to CAS for the support of their Criminal Justice Social Work System.

June: CONGRATULATIONS to all CAS staff who successfully passed their PRINCE 2 Project Management Foundation examinations. Fingers crossed for all those who took the Practitioner exam and are awaiting results :-)

June: CAS were delighted to receive a contract from RPS Plc for the further development of their Noise Analysis Tool (GNAT). The enhancements include real-time input from remote noise loggers, interface to the UK Meteorological Office for real-time Met updates and the inclusion of a complaints database.

June: The Scottish Children's Reporters Administration (SCRA) have awarded a contract to CAS for the configuration and roll-out of laptop and desktop computers to Chairs and members of Children's Panels throughout Scotland.

May: CAS have received an order for a major upgrade to their SPICCCS Command and Control system currently in operation at RAF Spadeadam. The upgrade will increase the capacity of the system to allow much larger numbers of aircraft to be controlled at once.

May: The Office of the Scottish Public Sector Ombudsman (SPSO) have awarded CAS a contract to project manage bid evaluation, supplier selection and system installation for their new Complaints Handling Database.

May: Congratulations to Clare (CAS Business Development Manager) who raised over 800 pounds for West Lothian Breakthrough Breast Cancer last month. Clare, and her family, took part in the annual Crocus Walk to raise money for the charity.

April: CAS are delighted with their successful QMS audit to ISO 9001:2000. The CAS QMS was previously audited to ISO 9001:1994 and its transition to ISO 9001:2000 is an indication of CAS commitment to continuous quality improvement.

April: The United States Air Force in Europe (USAFE) have awarded CAS another two year support contract to support the EPICCCS Command and Control System currently in use at the Multinational Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactics Facility (MAEWTF) at Polygone in Germany. This facility is jointly commanded by the United States, the French and the German Air forces and is available for use by any NATO air force. CAS have been involved at Polygone since the mid 1980's and this contract is continued affirmation of the high standards which CAS are able to bring to this type of organisation.

February: In an attempt to spread Scottish culture to our Colonial, and European, friends CAS hosted a very successful Burns Supper in Germany. This event, attended by over 80 guests, was held at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany and was attended by US, French and German Air Force personnel and their families. The attendees ate a hearty supper (cooked by the RAF), heard some very entertaining toasts (presented by the MoD) and listened to pipe and fiddle music courtesy of CAS).

January: CAS had a happy start to the New Year when they were awarded a contract to produce a Requirements Specification to define a complaints handling system for use by the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman.

January: The Scottish Executive has awarded CAS a contract to define the requirements for a Criminal Justice System (CJS) which will meet the needs of Authorities throughout Scotland.
