November: Building on our success with the Scottish and Welsh Ombudsmen, CAS were delighted to receive a contract from the Northern Ireland Ombudsman for the supply of a Complaints Handling Administration System (CHAS).
October: CAS is, once again, delighted to have been selected by the Scottish Borders Council as the provider of IT support services to the Council. The award of a 2.5 year support contract is a testament to CAS service over the past 2 years.
October: The Scottish Children's Reporters Agency (SCRA) have awarded CAS a contract to define the scope of a future Information Sharing Framework between SCRA and it's partner agencies. CAS is delighted to be part of this strategic project.
October: Computer Application Services were proud to be sponsors of, and participants in, the 2004 Livingston Fiddlers Rally. The event brought together over 40 musicians from all over Scotland and raised a substantial amount of money for Maggies Cancer Care Centre in Edinburgh.
September: The Scottish Pharmaceutical General Council (SPGC) have awarded a 2 year contract, to CAS, for the support of all of their IT infrastructure.
September: CAS are delighted to welcome Peter Murray to the company as our new Security Analyst. Peter has a BSc. from Aberystwyth University and an MSc. from Bradford and will be a valuable addition to our growing consultancy team.
September: Congratulations go to two CAS employees. Lyn, who passed her PRINCE 2 practitioners examination, and Kerry who raised over £300 for the Meningitis Research Campaign by abseiling off the Forth Rail Bridge. Well done to both of them.
September: The Public Services Ombudsman for Wales has chosen CAS to project manage (PRINCE2) the implementation of its new IT systems. CAS will also install Complaints Handling Administration System (CHAS) to manage the case investigation process.
September: The Office of the Scottish Information Commissioner has awarded a contract to CAS to implement their Complaints Handling Administration System (CHAS). This application software will be used to manage the investigation of complaints regarding compliance with the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
August: The United States Air Force have awarded CAS a contract to include GPRS connectivity into their EPICCCS system in Germany. This upgrade will provide enhanced security and bandwidth, as well as reducing operating costs, when connected to mobile and remote threats.
July: If June was an excellent month then July was even better. CAS were delighted to have received contracts from the UK MoD, for a feasibility study, and from the German Bundeswehr, for data analysis and integration services.
June: An excellent month for CAS during which we were awarded a contract to provide consultancy services to the Scottish Pharmaceutical General Council (SPGC) and a contract, from the Scottish Executive, to support the Children's Hearings Rota Management Systems (CHARM) throughout Scotland.
April: The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) has awarded a contract to CAS to implement a secure data link with its sister organisation based at Millbank in London. Also this month, Buckinghamshire and Chilterns College, renewed their support contract with us for a further year.
March: The Scottish National War Memorial (SNWM), which is based at Edinburgh Castle and maintains the definitive roll of Scottish war dead, has awarded CAS a contract to support their database systems.
March: CAS are delighted to welcome Lyn Thomson to CAS as our new Business Analyst. Lyn is a graduate of Kings College (London) and will be a valuable addition to our growing consultancy team.
February: CAS have been awarded a contract to produce an Operator Training Facility for use by staff at RAF Spadeadam. The rotation of service staff is a major concern for all of the armed forces and this facility help ensure that all incoming personnel receive consistent Electronic Warfare Operations training.
January: Double congratulations go to CAS Managing Director, Dave Wells, this month. Dave was granted Chartered Director (CDir) status by the Institute of Directors and, in the same week, his appointment as a Justice of the Peace was confirmed.
January: CAS were delighted to receive a support contract from the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO). This contract was awarded following the successful CAS project management of the SPSO office move, implementation of the new office wide IT system and development of their new complaints handling system.
